CO-FOUNDER & SECRET HERO OF THE WHOLE THING
Jeffrey Knight is a 28-year US Army Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) that retired in 2015 then went into the private sector to continue his professional career. He served in different capacities over the course of his Army career as an Engineer Officer to include Training and Operations, Teaching, and Human Resource roles. His primary expertise lies in Operations, Training, Leadership Development and Human Resources. He is a self-proclaimed ‘normal’ guy that enjoys staying physically fit, listening to heavy metal music, a passion for serving others, and loves talking leadership. He currently lives in Salt Lake City, UT with his wife of 28 years and his three children.

When Van is not busy conspiring to create community, camaraderie and connection with Dave and Jeff, she is nurturing curiosity and creativity in the workplace as the founder of worksmart, a progressive team development and leadership training company that activates creativity and experiential learning to enrich company culture and skyrocket performance.
Born in Vietnam and raised in Southern California, after her family fled Vietnam as war refugees, Van watched her parents pave a new life for themselves. She saw first hand how creative thinking, innovation, and curiosity can help people overcome their circumstances. Van shares this story in her TEDx Talk titled, ‘What if? The Life Changing Power of Curiosity’.
Her first home in the United States was at Camp Pendleton Marine base; which explains her appreciation and support of the Marines, an appreciation that Dave (a Navy fighter pilot) has yet to accept or understand! ;)

Tammy Lynn Laird
OVERWATCH,
AND “HEART & SOUL OF ANGELS 14"
Tammy Lynn Laird is an Army and USAF Veteran, homeschool teacher and Challenge Director for Classical Conversations, coach for 22Zero.org, and a children’s author.
Having cared for her peers in the Army, she continued to do so in AFROTC and then her troops in the USAF upon commissioning. She has continued to pray over her fellow brothers and sisters in the military, in all phases and in all branches. It is her hope to help end feelings of isolation, feeling alone, or suffering from invisible traumas and PTS by reaching out.
She has written two books, “Introducing Beatrice” and “Valiant Charlie Defeats the Sleep Monster”, and is currently working on other writing endeavors as time permits. She is known as “Hallmark”, “Overwatch”, and the “Heart and Soul of Angels14” by her cherished Angels14 brothers and sisters/friends. Tammy is a happily married wife, devoted mother, and lives in the Austin, Texas area with her best friend and husband of over 25 years, two of their three sons as their oldest is away at college, and her precious mother.
